Orlando Boom:
Cox Rhythmic Top 40 WPYO/Orlando morning co-host Obie Diaz has shifted to sister Country WWKA in the same role, alongside Ashley Stegbauer. "Obie lives the format, is passionate about country music and has a tremendous track record of success in Orlando radio," says Dir./Branding & Programming Drew Bland. Diaz succeeds AJ Maguire, who transitions to afternoons, which were vacated by J.R. Jaus six months ago (CAT 3/15). "For the past five years AJ has done a fantastic job starting the day for millions of Central Florida country fans," says Bland. "Now he will help them end their days with his entertaining and interactive style of show that has earned him several CMA and ACM Award nominations." Reach Diaz here and Maguire here.
