Wall Power:
Townsquare/Amarillo, TX OM and Top 40 KXSS Brand Mgr. Kenny Wall has joined Cumulus WLXX/Lexington as PD/MD, succeeding Dale O'Brian, who exited last month (CAT 9/12). It's a return to the company for Wall, who programmed its Classic Rock and Rhythmic Top 40 stations in Fayetteville and Fort Smith, AR, and Rock and Top 40 stations in Wilkes-Barre. Prior stops also include Tulsa, Birmingham, Little Rock and Sydney, AU. “I've known Kenny for years, and I'm excited we are finally getting the chance to work together," says OM Tony "Twitch" Longo. "There is nobody in the country I'd rather have at the helm of such a heritage station as WLXX." Adds Wall, "Looking forward to lots of bourbon, horse racing and country music." Reach him here. In Amarillo, Market President Brice Sheets tells Country Aircheck the search is on to fill the position, which includes an unspecified air shift and oversight of Country KATP. Airchecks and resumes to him here.
