CMA SVP/Marketing & Strategic Partnerships Damon Whiteside has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer. Added responsibilities include oversight of the Communications department, which will become integrated with the organization's strategic marketing teams. "His efforts on behalf of the industry have enhanced CMA's reputation for generating innovative marketing campaigns and creating partnerships," CEO Sarah Trahern says. "The experience and passion he brings to this expanded role will help us continue to build the CMA brand and grow Country Music around the world." Whiteside joined from Nomad Entertainment Group in 2013 with prior stops including Disney Music Group, Walt Disney Studios, Disney Channel and Disney Consumer Products (CAT 11/15/13).
