Saga Continues: Saga has agreed to purchase eight radio stations and four translators from Apex in Charleston and Hilton Head/Beaufort, SC for $23 million, including Country WCKN/Charleston. "The Charleston stations are heritage radio stations that are tightly focused on serving their local communities," says Saga President/CEO Edward Christian. "The Hilton Head/Beaufort stations serve a regional market that will give us very strong development opportunities." Saga also anounced they are selling their television stations in Joplin, MO- Pittsburg, KS and Victoria, TX for $66.6 million. Expected closing is in September, pending FCC approval.
