Corey To WKLB: Following the retirement of WKLB/Boston PD Mike Brophey reported minutes ago (Breaking News), radio vet David Corey has been named as his successor. Most recently VP/Radio Programming for Toronto-based Bell Media, Corey oversaw programming for 105 stations including the nation's leading station Hot AC CHUM-FM/Toronto. His career began at the age of 17 at Top 40 WXKS/Boston.

"I am excited to have the opportunity to return home to Boston to work at WKLB-FM," Corey says. "It's an amazing station with an incredible history in Country radio. I look forward to working with Justin Chase, Mary Menna, Cadillac Jack and the entire team at the station!"

"David's exceptional programming experience, leadership, and successful track record in the Boston market make him the perfect fit," says Beasley EVP/Programming Justin Chase. Adds Dir./Programming Cadillac Jack, "He's a one of a kind competitor that we are fortunate to add to our Beasley Media/Boston team of programmers." Corey is on the job today (5/31).
