G'day Mate:
CMT Radio OM/Exec. Producer Brett "Dingo" O'Brien is stepping down for a yet-to-be-disclosed opportunity outside of radio. "It's easier to leave because we have amazing people here to continue what we started," says O'Brien. "Time to pivot, climb a new mountain." He will still appear on the shows each week with host Cody Alan, who tells Country Aircheck, "We'll all miss seeing Dingo every day, but I'm happy he'll still be contributing on air on the CMT shows with me. He's helped create some great moments, and build an amazing radio team here in Nashville. I'm proud of him, and his new adventures." O'Brien joined the company in 2009 after stops with Hipcricket, KFWR/Ft. Worth and nine years at KPLX/Dallas. His last full day is Friday (7/21). CMT will announce plans for the position soon.
