Jo Walker-Meador Passes: Country Music Hall of Fame member Jo Walker-Meador has passed. She was Executive Director of the CMA from 1962 to 1991. Walker-Meador was at the CMA from its creation in 1958, hired as office manager. In 1959 she organized a banquet that later became the CMA Awards. After former CMA Exec. Dir. Harry Stone departed, Walker-Meador assumed his role. She retired in 1991 and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1995. Arrangements are pending.
