McBride Ends The Ride: Owens KUZZ/Bakersfield midday host Casey McBride will retire after 39 years on the air and 46 years with the company. "Casey has been an instrumental part of our station," says PD Brent Michaels. "She is a large part of every ACM, CMA, and Crystal Award our station has been honored to receive. All of us wish her a very happy retirement." At the end of September, McBride will shift to part time to assist the station with community efforts and production. This leaves a prime opening and the search is underway to fill it.
