Helping Hands: Music Health Alliance and Saint Thomas Health have created The Ben Eyestone Fund to provide preventative and primary care services to uninsured or under-insured music industry professionals. Eligible parties must reside in Davidson or surrounding counties in Middle Tennessee, earn an adjusted gross income up to 300% above the Federal Poverty Level and demonstrate an obvious diagnostic need. The fund was created in memory of east Nashville musician Ben Eyestone, who died last year after a delayed diagnosis of advanced colon cancer. Read his story in The Tennessean here.
