It Ain't The Whiskey: Charlotte radio vet Jack Daniel has joined Beasley's WBCN-AM & W234BY "94.7 Smoke" & AC WKQC in the market, handling afternoons on both. Daniel has been on the air in Charlotte since 1975 and has 47 years of radio experience. "I've been in Charlotte my entire life and Jack is synonymous with Charlotte radio," says DJ Stout, OM/PD for "Smoke" as well as WSOC. The Southern Rock hybrid format launched last summer (CAT 6/19) airing artists including The Cadillac Three, Drake White and Chris Stapleton in addition to Molly Hatchet, JJ Cale and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
