Cox, Profitt Retire:
Cumulus KHAY/Oxnard-Ventura, CA OM/PD Chris Cox will retire from radio after 45 years, effective March 1. Cox joined KHAY in 2012 after on-air and programming stops in Los Angeles, Houston, Cincinnati, Louisville, Anaheim and others. "It's been an incredible journey," says Cox. "Forty-five years of doing what I love – who gets to say that? I have been fortunate to work with fantastic people throughout my career, especially my good friend and mentor Mike McVay, who has always been there for me. Now I'll have time to learn a new guitar riff; 'Smoke On The Water' is getting old." Send best wishes to Cox here. Cumulus/Oxnard-Ventura, CA VP/Market Manager Sommer Frisk is currently seeking a replacement for Cox. Interested parties may apply here.
MacDonald Country WKCQ/Saginaw, MI midday host Kevin Profitt is retiring after 38 years with the company, effective March 22. Send best wishes to Profitt here. MacDonald/Saginaw OM Greg Cole is currently seeking a replacement with three to five years of on-air experience and strong production, digital and social media skills. Send résumés and airchecks to Cole here.
