ACM's Fisher Departs: Academy of Country Music CEO Pete Fisher has stepped down after more than two years in the role. ACM Awards Exec. Producer RAC Clark has been named Interim Exec. Dir.

"Following many years on the ACM Board, it's been an honor to serve the Academy in the role of CEO," Fisher says. "I've greatly enjoyed working with the Academy staff, Officers and Boards, and I look forward to continuing to support the good work of the ACM and ACM Lifting Lives. Proud of what we have accomplished, I look forward to what the future holds."

Clark says, "My work with the ACM over the years has included some of my most professionally fulfilling projects. I look forward to stepping into this interim role and supporting the legacy of the Academy."

Fisher joined the organization in January 2017 (Breaking News) after 17 years with the Grand Ole Opry. Prior stops included Warner/Reprise, Warner/Chappell and his own management firm. Clark has produced the ACM show since 1999, has been associated with the Academy throughout his 38-year career and is the son of one of the telecast's founders, the late Dick Clark.
