Cactus Jack Retires: 
Cox KKBQ/Houston afternoon personality Cactus Jack has retired after a 27-year tenure. His last day was Friday (8/30). "Cactus Jack's amazing run on KKBQ [has] concluded," says OM/PD Johnny Chiang. "Man, we're gonna miss him!" Chiang will be seeking a replacement for Jack, who also spent time at WHTZ/New York and WEZB/New Orleans (as Jack Da Wack) before landing in Houston in 1992.
