Three's Company: Former Riser House VP/Promotion April Rider, Johnstone Entertainment's Cole Johnstone and producer Mark Bright have aligned with ADA Worldwide to launch Foundry Records, a full-service independent record label based in Nashville. Johnstone will serve as GM, Rider is VP/Marketing & Promotions and Bright will oversee A&R. "When the opportunity presented itself for the three of us to partner together and create Foundry Records, it was a no brainer," says Johnstone. "Mark and April are both well-known and highly respected executives in the industry, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds." Johnstone will continue operating Johnstone Entertainment. His previous career stops include Oswald Entertainment. Rider exited Riser House last year (CAT 3/12/18) and previously spent time with RPM Entertainment, Stoney Creek and Curb. Bright, whose credits include work with Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Sting and Vince Gill, will continue to produce for a variety of artists. Details regarding the label's full staff, first signings and office location are forthcoming. Reach Johnstone here and Rider here.
