Patches To Retire: iHeartMedia KTEX/McAllen, TX APD/MD/morning co-host James "The Patchman" "Patches" Paczkowski will retire at the end of 2019, wrapping a 25 year run at the station. "I have worked with the best group of radio pros and enjoyed hundreds of artist visits and been honored to help start the mornings of this beautiful place known as The Rio Grande Valley," says Paczkowski. "Now, my wife Lisa and I get to try to make a difference in our family's lives and watch my seven grandkids grow and share more experiences in their future." Paczkowski joined KTEX in January 1995 and has handled roles in production, music, on-air and more during his tenure. "He has been a tremendous asset for us in all phases of work, and he will be missed," says PD/morning host JoJo Cerda, who will begin the search for Paczkowski's successor in the new year.
