Travis Trip: Mid-West Family KQYB/La Crosse, WI part-time personality Travis Winchester has crossed the street to La Crosse Media Group Country WQCC in the newly created afternoon personality/Traffic Coord. position. On-air, he succeeds Gary Michaels, who will now focus full-time on PD duties for Hot AC sister WLXR, a position he has held since 2016 (CAT 6/24/16). "There is a concern in the broadcast industry as to where the next generation of leaders will come from; we've had our share of cutting back and having an air talent on more than one station," says GM Pat Smith. "Gary and Travis are both good examples of younger people who have the qualities to lead."
