Chronicle: Longtime Alpha KLLL/Lubbock, TX personality Kelli D'Angelo passed away Jan. 28 following a battle with cancer. She was 61. A Lubbock native, D'Angelo spent time in Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco and Austin radio before returning to Lubbock in 2000. Services will be held Jan. 31 at Lake Ridge Chapel (6025 82nd Street, Lubbock, TX 79424) from 2pm-3pm CT with reception immediately following. Salvi Classic Country WLUV-AM/Loves Park, IL owner Angelo Joseph Salvi died Jan. 28 at the radio station. He was 98. Salvi's career in radio began at an early age, and in 1962, he was granted an FCC license to broadcast in his hometown of Rockford, IL and launched WLUV soon thereafter. A memorial service will be held Feb. 3 at 11am CT at Fitzgerald Funeral Home's Riverside Chapel (3910 North Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61108) preceded by visitation at 9am CT; burial will follow the service. Songwriter Edward F. Setser passed away Monday (1/27) at Baptist Health in Corbin, KY at the age of 77. His work includes 1984's "Seven Spanish Angels," recorded by Ray Charles and Willie Nelson, and cuts with artists including The Oak Ridge Boys, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill and Eric Clapton, whose "I've Got a Rock 'n' Roll Heart" was co-penned by Setser with Troy Seals and Steve Diamond. Services were held yesterday (1/29) in Lily, KY. Local coverage here
