Re-Brand New Man: Cumulus WDRQ/Detroit has dropped its "Nash FM 93.1" branding in favor of "New Country 93.1" and has shifted from nationally syndicated Ty Bentli Show mornings to the local Electric Barnyard With Broadway & Krissy. Bill "Broadway" Bertschinger segues into mornings from afternoons, where he has been since May (CAT 5/7/19), and is joined by former crosstown iHeartMedia Top 40 WKQI night personality Krissy T, who was laid off last month. PD Lance Tidwell picks up afternoons from Broadway; Josh "Bru" Brubaker remains in middays. "This isn't a rebranding of a station that wasn't working," Tidwell tells Country Aircheck. "It's a morning show added and a shift to a name that suits us. We're a pretty aggressive new music station, and we support new artists and our partners in Nashville." Additional Cumulus properties have moved away from the "Nash" branding in recent months, including nationally syndicated night show Nash Nights Live, now branded as Nights With Elaina (CAT 1/8). WNNF/Cincinnati (CAT 10/2/19) and now-Entercom WNSH/New York (CAT 3/25/19) have also dropped the moniker in the past year. Stream WDRQ here.
