CRHoF Adds Six: The Country Radio Hall of Fame's next six inductees will be celebrated during the Country Radio Hall of Fame Induction and Dinner in Nashville June 24 at the Westin Nashville. They are:

In the Radio category:

  • Beasley Media Group Founder George Beasley
  • Retired KSCS/Dallas and WKHX/Atlanta GM Victor Sansone
  • Former R&R VP/Country Editor and longtime programmer/personality Jim Duncan.

In the On-Air category:

  • KSCS/Dallas morning man Mark "Hawkeye" Louis
  • WYCD/Detroit morning host Chuck Edwards
  • Former WAXX/Eau Claire, WI PD/MD/on-air talent Tim Wilson.

Beasley has logged 58 years in the radio industry, serving as founder, chairman and CEO for Beasley Media Group, which currently owns 64 radio stations in 15 large and medium markets including Country WXTU/Philadelphia; WKLB/Boston; WQYK/Tampa; WSOC/Charlotte; KCYE/Las Vegas; WKML/Fayetteville, NC; and WKXC/Augusta, GA.

Sansone's 34-year career with Capital Cities/ABC/Disney included sales management and GM roles overseeing two legendary Country properties, KSCS/Dallas and WKHX/Atlanta. He arrived in Dallas in 1987 and guided KSCS to ratings and revenue triumphs including 21 consecutive rating periods at No. 1. Sansone repeated that success with his 1997 move to Atlanta, spurring a 10-year run of similar dominance at WKHX. He also served on the CMA Board of Directors, rising to President and Chairman.

Duncan has spent seven decades in Country radio, all in major markets, where his career touched all corners of the radio business: weekend air talent, morning show host, MD, PD, and syndication. For nine years, he served as VP and Country Editor for R&R, becoming a true ambassador for Country radio and the music industry. Duncan also represented the industry on the CMA and CRB boards.

Louis began his career at KAJA/San Antonio working alongside 2015 CRHoF inductee Randy Carroll, and has been a fixture at KSCS/Dallas for 29 years, many of those partnered with late 2006 CRHoF inductee Terry Dorsey. His current Hawkeye In The Morning show on KSCS is the longest-running FM morning show in the market, and he has given back to the community with the establishment of the Mark Rybczyk Scholarship for broadcasting students at his alma mater, The University of North Texas. In 2015, Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth honored Louis for 800 hours of volunteer service and for starting the now annual Cook Children's Radiothon in 2014.

Edwards has spent the past 20 years at WYCD/Detroit where he hosted afternoons with late 2017 CRHoF inductee Linda Lee for 16 years before segueing to mornings. His Country radio roots date to 1983 when he started in Knoxville and made the move to Memphis before joining KSCS/Dallas for afternoons in 1986. During his time in the Motor City, Edwards has been honored with the 2011 CMA Personality of the Year award, a Michigan Association of Broadcasters Broadcaster of the Year award and multiple ACM Personality of the Year and Marconi nominations.

Wilson spent 26 of his 45 year Country radio career at WAXX/Eau Claire, WI, where he served as PD, MD and on-air personality. Wilson donated his time as an advisor for Future Business Leaders of America at Eau Claire Memorial High School and for Phi Beta Lambda at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. His efforts and those of the station helped popularize country music in the Northlands and garnered high ratings for WAXXwhile earning national recognition in the form of a CMA Personality of the Year award; CMA PD of the Year award; Billboard PD, MD and Personality of the Year honors; and the NAB's Marconi Award.
