Escape Artists: Former Rubber City/Akron VP/Operations and Country WQMX PD Sue Wilson has launched an online radio station, The Acoustic Escape, featuring Country, Soft Rock, Americana, Triple A, Indie and Folk singer-songwriters spanning multiple decades. Artists will include Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, Dixie Chicks, Zac Brown Band, The Highwomen, Brandi Carlile and Lori McKenna, as well as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, John Mayer, John Prine and Colbie Caillat. “All songs are born within the simplicity of the acoustic guitar or piano, and performances from living rooms during the quarantine have sparked a new appreciation for acoustic music,” says Wilson, who left Rubber City two years ago to pursue other interests (CAT 5/18/18).
