Big, Big Plans: iHeartMedia KWNR/Las Vegas PD/afternoon personality Wayne “Big D” Danielson has been named afternoon host for the company’s WSIX/Nashville and will relocate with his family. He fills the vacancy created upon the departure of Tige Rodgers and Daniel Baker, who partnered for the iHeart Custom syndicated Tige & Daniel show until exiting amid layoffs earlier this year (CAT 1/14). “Big D is an absolute pro on all levels, and Nashville is going to love him as much as we do,” says SVPP Gator Harrison. “Plus, his name is Big; Big D on The Big 98 – nothing makes more sense than that.” Danielson has been with iHeartMedia since 2008 working with both KWNR and Top 40 sister KPLV as well as Top 40 sister KDWB/Minneapolis. He was named to his current position more than two years ago (CAT 2/2/18). Prior career stops include Mid-West/La Crosse, WI and Leighton/St. Cloud, MN. Reach him here. Meanwhile, Harrison is seeking a co-host/producer to work alongside Danielson. Interested candidates can apply here. No word yet on plans for the position at KWNR.
