Chronicle: Recording engineer, producer and songwriter Alan Schulman died Wednesday (6/24) at the age of 66 after an extended illness. Schulman worked with artists including Mac McAnally, Jimmy Buffett, John Prine, Alabama, Shenandoah, Widespread Panic and Ricky Skaggs, whose album Solider Of The Cross earned Schulman a Grammy win for Best Southern, Country Or Bluegrass Gospel Album in 2000. A graveside celebration was held Sunday (6/28) in Hamilton, AL. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made in his name to The Muscle Shoals Music Association (P.O.
