Gig Alert: Cumulus Country WGKX & AC WKIM/Memphis PD Duane Shannon is stepping down from those duties to concentrate on his role as morning co-host for WGKX’s Duane And Abby In The Morning. Shannon has been with Cumulus for 14 years, including 10 with the Memphis cluster; he signed a multi-year contract extension last March (CAT 3/21/19). VP/MM Morgan Bohannon is now seeking Shannon’s successor to handle programming, music scheduling, imaging, station strategy and more for both WGKX and WKIM.
