Cox KWEN/Tulsa Cash & Bradley Show morning co-host Natalie Cash is living on a 30-foot scaffold during the 6th Annual Bikes For Kids campaign. She will remain in place until 955 bikes are donated for Green Country children who may not otherwise receive holiday gifts. “Thousands of local families have lost their jobs, and that will make the holidays harder than ever," says Dir./Branding & Programming Matt Bradley. "Our goal is to pitch in and give their kids a reason to smile.” Over five years, KWEN listeners have donated more than 5,700 bikes valued at approximately $286,500. Follow this year’s drive here.
Buck Owens KUZZ/Bakersfield PD Brent Michaels and ABC television affiliate KERO-TV/Bakersfield news anchor Jessica Harrington finished the Virtual Bakersfield Marathon, running one mile each hour for 26 consecutive hours and raising $2,000 to benefit Active Bakersfield Alliance supporting area youth athletics. “[Jessica] came back and finished miles with me since I was still recovering from my stress fracture,” shares Michaels via Instagram. “I think this is the hardest thing I’ve ever done physically.” Watch the recap here.
Rich KWFI & KWFO/Idaho Falls, ID PD Don Jarrett and staff partnered with the Idaho State Police for the 4th Annual 10 Counties Of Christmas. The initiative will deliver more than 300 food baskets to families and veterans in the ten-county region served by the State Police.
Entercom/Richmond, VA – including Country WRXL-HD2 – raised more than $220,000 for Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU during the 9th annual 36-Hours For Kids Radiothon Dec. 2-3. The event has garnered more than $1.3 million in donations across the nine years.
