KBEQ's McEntire Leaves:
Steel City KBEQ/Kansas City MD/afternoon personality TJ McEntire has departed after 28 years. She joined March 1, 1993 and has handled multiple dayparts and roles in her nearly three-decade-long tenure. “I’ll be here in [Kansas City], still living life to the fullest,” shares McEntire via Facebook. “I am excited to focus on my new endeavors like What’s Cooking With TJ and my podcast, Mac & The Millennial.” Reach McEntire here. PD Todd Nixon tells Country Aircheck he will assume MD duties immediately. “TJ was a force to be reckoned with and a huge part of the success of Q104 for nearly three decades,” says Nixon. “I wish her nothing but the best for what’s next in her future!” He will be looking for a successor in afternoons; send résumés and airchecks here.
