KUZZ's Emery To Leave: Buck Owens KUZZ/Bakersfield midday host Geoff Emery is stepping down May 14 after 25 years. He will continue to be heard in a part-time capacity in weekends. “Thank you for making this the most incredible adventure of my career,” says Emery via Facebook. “To look at a pair of ACM Awards on our mantle at home, and to get a nomination this final year, is beyond what I could express.” PD Brent Michaels tells Country Aircheck, "Geoff is one of the signature voices to ever be on the KUZZ airwaves. While I'm excited for him that he has a new opportunity outside of radio, he will be mised by our audience and his colleagues."
