Former Curtis/Lenoir, NC OM & Country WKVS PD/morning host Nick Cash (born Richard “Rick” Szost) died June 11 at his home in Hickory, NC. He was 56. Prior to his four months with Curtis, Cash spent time with Townsquare/Killeen, TX; KHGE/Fresno, CA; Rhythmic KWYL & AC KNEV/Reno, NV; Rhythmic WYIL/Knoxville, TN; and Rhythmic KKXX/Bakersfield, CA. The family will hold private services in Dunnellon, FL.
Zimmer/Joplin, MO MM “Chad Elliot” Carroz passed away at his home June 12 at the age of 47. He had been with the cluster, which includes Country KIXQ, since 2007 and was named to his most recent post in 2016, following stops in Cape Girardeau, Jefferson City and St. Louis, MO; and Carbondale, IL. Carroz spent a total of 25 years with Zimmer in various markets and capacities, and his wife, Monica, is the cluster’s Mgr./Business.
