Awards Of The State: Representatives of the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association have declined to comment on recent reports about ongoing network negotiations for both awards shows. According to The Wrap, longtime ACM network partner CBS has "balked" at the organization's $22 million per-year asking price, but Disney is close to sealing a $22m-per agreement that would keep the CMAs on ABC. Meanwhile, ACM partner Dick Clark Productions is reportedly in negotiations with NBC for that show. Both shows have seen precipitous ratings declines in the pandemic but notably less than has been experienced by the Grammys, Golden Globes and Oscars.
