Reve-News: The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) released its mid-year revenue statistics, reporting that in the first half of 2021, U.S. recorded music revenues grew more than 26% to $7 billion in retail value. Streaming accounted for 84% of the revenue, with physical sales at 10% and downloads at 5%. One of the most remarkable rises came in the physical sales category, where vinyl revenues grew 94% and now comprise more than two-thirds of all physical sales. Full report here.
