CMG's Smith Resigns:
Cox VP/Programming Steve Smith has resigned his post, effective immediately, after more than a decade in the role. He was named to the post in 2011 (CAT 8/1/11). Smith provided strategic counsel for CMG’s 65 stations in 11 markets, including Country outlets WNGC/Athens, GA; WHKO/Dayton, OH; KKBQ & KTHT/Houston; WWKA/Orlando; KCYY & KKYX/San Antonio; and KWEN/Tulsa. His programming background includes VPP positions for Emmis, then-Clear Channel, AMFM and as a consultant with CMG since 1994. Reach him here.
