Life Note: Community WKKT/Florence, SC morning co-host Randy “Mudflap” Wilcox is recovering after a minor stroke in the occipital lobe of his brain. Wilcox attributes the discovery of the stroke to being on-air at the right time, sharing via Facebook, “Two weeks ago, I was going a live broadcast ... and in one break, I started slushing my words. It happens to the best of us ... but I couldn’t fix the issue. No matter how hard I concentrated, I couldn’t enunciate.” Wilcox is on medication and will have some follow-up visits to a neurologist but reports he has no lasting symptoms and “never even missed a day of work.” Send well-wishes here.
