Blackley Leaves Radio: iHeartMedia WNCB/Raleigh PD/midday personality Carson Blackley is leaving radio after nine years with the company and a year-and-a-half in her most recent post. “I owe a lot of my life to radio; I even met my husband in 2014 because he was family friends with my PD,” says Blackley via Instagram. “My entire adult life has been defined by my career until my daughter was born. Nothing bitter about this goodbye. I’ve never been more sure of my decision to hang up the headphones.” Blackley was named PD in 2020 (CAT 7/13/20) and has worked for clusters in Pittsburgh, Memphis and Raleigh throughout her tenure. EVP/Country Programming Strategy Rod Phillips tells Country Aircheck there will be an active search for a successor; reach Phillips here.
