New York, New Work: Former Cumulus WMDH/Muncie, IN PD/afternoon personality Chris Carter has joined Seven Mountains/Olean, NY as OM & Country WPIG PD/afternoon personality. He succeeds “Big Rick” Daniels who left radio earlier this month (CAT 1/3). It is a return to the market for Carter, who served as Top 40 WMXO PD/morning host from 2003-2004. “I’ve been broadcasting since high school and had the pleasure of spending most of my career in Indiana but am excited to return to the Twin Tiers with Seven Mountains; it really felt like coming home,” Carter tells Country Aircheck. He left WMDH after four years in 2016 (CAT 9/14/16) and most recently served as Beech Grove City Schools/Indianapolis Instructor/Radio & Television. Carter’s prior career stops include time in Gainesville, FL; Columbus, GA; and Barre, VT. Reach him here.
