Kelsey Lately: Cox/Athens, GA Station Mgr. Kelsey Gresham is joining Summit/Knoxville as Market Pres. She succeeds Chris Protzman, who will retire from the cluster that includes Country WCYQ Feb. 1 after nearly 20 years with the group and more than 34 with the company. It is a return to the cluster for Gresham, who served as LSM from 2017-2019. She joined Cox in 2020 following time with WVLT-TV/Knoxville, Gannett/Knoxville and Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance. Protzman started with then-Journal Broadcast Group in 1987 as Acct. Exec. for News-Talk WTMJ-AM/Milwaukee. In 1996, he left to pursue ownership before returning to JBG in 2001. Protzman segued to the Knoxville cluster as VP/GM in 2005 rising through the ranks and staying as the company changed hands to E.W. Scripps and Summit.
