Moon Lands At KKBQ: Cumulus KUBL/Salt Lake City PD Travis Moon has been named Dir./Operations for Cox/Houston, which includes Country KKBQ & Classic Country KTHT, effective April 11. He succeeds Johnny Chiang, who left for Red Street Records earlier this year (CAT 1/27). "Travis is a talented and creative content leader with a rich history in Texas,” says Cox RVP Keith Lawless. “I am proud to have him join our CMG/Houston family and excited for Houston’s next chapter under his leadership.” This marks a return to Texas for Moon, who prior to becoming PD at KUBL in 2017 (CAT 7/31/17) served two stints at KAJA/San Antonio. Moon's previous stops include KEEY/Minneapolis, WUBE & WYGY/Cincinnati, KASE & KVET/Austin and two years with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Reach him here.
