Chris Crossed: Curtis Hot AC WMGV/New Bern, NC morning host Chris Brooks is joining Saga WVVR/Clarksville, TN as morning co-host alongside incumbent Mandi Michaels for Chris And Mandi In The Morning. Brooks succeeds Greg “Fletch” Fletcher, who is leaving for an opportunity outside of radio in an unspecified role with the Grand Ole Opry (CAT 2/1). “We’ve had a lot of folks wondering if this is an April Fool’s stunt, but from the happy tears and long goodbyes here in the station this morning, it’s definitely the real deal,” says PD Mike Sanders. “We will certainly miss [Fletch] here at Beaver Country and wish him well with his new gig at the Grand Ole Opry.” It is a return to Country for Brooks, who previously spent two years with KBIM/Roswell, NM (CAT 6/25/18).
