Bits & Pieces: Beasley WQYK/Tampa morning producer/co-host Kevin Ebel was fêted today (4/19) by Tampa Bay’s Morning Krewe hosts JR Jaus and Launa Phillips in celebration of his 43rd birthday and 25 years with the station. “Kevin is someone who has so much pride for his family, hometown and WQYK; it’s so cool to watch,” Jaus tells Country Aircheck. “Launa and I are so thankful for what he does for our show every day.” Jaus and Phillips surprised Ebel with a golden microphone and plaque; a message from his family; tickets to take his kids to their first Tampa Bay Rays baseball game; and an invitation to throw out the first pitch at his high school alma mater, Jesuit High School, April 28, ahead of his 25-year high school reunion.
