Pro Motion: Mercury Dir./Midwest Promotion Nick Kaper has been named UMG/Nashville Dir./Promotion & Radio Marketing reporting to EVP/Promotion Royce Risser. He fills the vacancy created by VP/Promotion & Radio Marketing Chris Schuler’s move to Arista last month (CAT 4/4). “[Nick] has the perfect mind and skillset to handle all the numbers and information hitting him,” says Risser. “This role is critical to our success, and we are excited to see him step in and crush it.” Kaper joined as Mercury Coord./Promotion in Jan. 2015, segued to EMI Nashville for Mgr./West Coast Promotion duties in 2018 (CAT 4/11/18) and made the move to his most recent post in 2020 (CAT 1/21/20).
