Jeff Boyardee:
Beasley KCYE/Las Vegas Jeff & Aimee In The Morning host Jeff Kurkjian is joining sister WXTU/Philadelphia as co-host of The Andie Summers Show in mornings July 1. He fills the vacancy created by last week's departure of "Dave Cruise" Madden (CAT 5/27). “Jeff is a tremendous talent who has an amazing ability to create relatable and entertaining content for the Country format audience,” says Beasley CCO Justin Chase. Adds Kurkjian, "The opportunity to work with Beasley’s legendary WXTU, a station so beloved by our late founder, George Beasley, is a real honor." KCYE's Aimee Thomas remains with the Las Vegas cluster in an as-yet undisclosed capacity. Tomorrow’s show (6/3) is the duo's finale after four years together (CAT 3/7/18); see the pair's statements via a station blog here. Kurkjian’s prior stops include then-Entercom Hot AC WQAL/Cleveland and Rhythmic WJPZ/Syracuse, NY. He can be reached here through tomorrow. Thomas segued to KCYE following time with AC sister KCYE-HD2 and can be reached here. No word on plans for mornings at KCYE.
