He's Just A 'POR Boy From A 'POR Family: Saga WPOR/Portland, ME MD/morning host Jon Shannon has been elevated to PD and adds programming duties for Classic Country sister WZAN-AM. He fills the vacancy created upon the departure of Jonathan “JR” Ruppel, who left for Townsquare/Lansing, MI last month (CAT 5/13). Shannon has been with the station since Oct. 1996 and previously served as PD from 1997-1998. He retains all previous duties and can be reached here.
