Writin' My Life Away:
Songwriters Hillary Lindsey, David Malloy and Gary Nicholson, and songwriter/artists Shania Twain and Steve Wariner, will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Oct. 30 at the Music City Center. Exec. Dir. Mark Ford, who led this morning's (8/2) press event, noted he was "especially gratified to note that – for the first time since 2009 – two of our inductees-elect are women." Brief remarks by the inductees on hand (Twain was out of the country) concluded with Wariner saying, "There are so many other writers who probably deserve this more than I do, but none who will appreciate it any more – I can guarantee you that."
