Life Notes: Boulanger, Hall, Sistad

Retired Wagon Wheel WSCH/Aurora, IN morning host Eric “Bubba Bo” Boulanger has entered hospice care. After retiring nearly two years ago (CAT 3/9/21), he intended to winter in Florida; however, after experiencing confusion last summer, Boulanger was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. He has since had brain surgery to remove a portion of the tumor and has undergone chemotherapy and radiation before entering hospice shortly before Christmas. Read local coverage via Cincinnati Public Radio News-Talk WVXU/Cincinnati here.

Radio vet Chuck Hall, whose career stops included Country KIOK/Tri-Cities, WA and KORD/Richland, WA, has been battling long-term health issues that have prevented him from working. He was recently diagnosed with a rare plasma cell disease, which has now left him unable to walk. Current KIOK PD/morning host Adam Lamberd has created a GoFundMe account to assist with Hall’s financial needs. Read local coverage via Tri-City Herald here; donate here.
