Oregon Coast cluster goes dark
Oregon Cluster Silent: All five stations in Newport, OR owned by Yaquina Bay Communications, including Country KNCU, went silent on New Year's Day after being foreclosed on by Oregon Coast Bank, which was owed more than $530,000. The YachatsNews reports that owner David Miller informed the cluster's eight staffers they were losing their jobs via email, in which Miller stated, "I am sorry about that, but at this point I have no other choice. I appreciate all that you do for me and these communities we serve. Wish we could have continued.”
