Flip Outs: ICA Radio KAJE/Corpus Christi, TX changed from Country to Regional Mexican Dec. 30. KAJE adopted a Classic Country format in 2017 (CAT 3/23/17), moving to current-based in 2020 (CAT 4/24/20). Silverfish Media's Big D & Bubba aired in mornings, no word on remaining staff.

Also in the Corpus Christi market, Reina KBSO dropped its eight-year old Red Dirt/Texas Country format in favor of Classic Hits Jan. 2. No word on affected staff. Neither KAJE nor KBSO subscribed to Nielsen.

Binnie WBQQ/Kennebunk, ME, which simulcast WTHT/Portland to cover the southern part of the market, split off to become AC "99.3 The Wave" on New Year's Day. The WTHT & WBQQ simulcast finished second in the Spring 2023 Nielsen survey of Portland with an 11-year high 6.7 share.
