Royal Gorge KSTY/Canon City, CO shut down Jan. 1, as did sister News-Talk KRLN-AM. "The staff here at Star Country and KRLN are grateful for the years of dedication from all of our amazing clients who have made our local radio possible," says a post on the station's Facebook page. Jan. 1 was coincidentally the 50th anniversary of KSTY's sign on (as KRLN-FM). 

Krol Communications Classic Country WMLM-AM/St. Louis, MI ceased operations at midnight Dec. 31. The station had been on the air since 1977.
