Nixon Kicks In: Recently resigned iHeartMedia WNCB/Raleigh & WTQR/Greensboro PD Todd Nixon will join Steel City's KBEQ/Kansas City as PD next week, succeeding Mike Kennedy, who retired at year's end (CAT 9/28). "So thankful to the Frischling family and VP/GM Marc Harrell for believing in me," Nixon says. "And of course Mike Kennedy, who made KBEQ legendary, built on a passion for country music, its listeners and an amazing staff. I am proud to get to carry the torch forward!" Nixon's career spans 22 years and includes stops in Fort Myers, Houston and Shreveport, LA. He left iHeartMedia at the end of last month (CAT 12/27), starts at KBEQ Monday (1/9) and can be reached here.
