Generation Y: Former Bryan Broadcasting Top 40 KNDE/Bryan, TX morning hosts Tucker "Frito" Young and Katy Dempsey will join Cox KCYY/San Antonio in the same capacity Monday (1/10). Exiting the station is Beth Chandler, who had been at KCYY since 2013 and in mornings since 2015. Chandler had been in the shift solo since the September departure of "Big Joe" Pesh (CAT 9/13/21). Young and Dempsey have been together in mornings since 2013 before departing at year's end, and won last year's Small Market Personality Marconi Award. Young had been with Bryan since 2003, and also served as the cluster's OM; Dempsey had been with KNDE since 2011 and served as PD. "They bring authenticity and incredible passion for serving our local community and entertaining morning listeners in San Antonio," says PD Christi Brooks.
