We Are Familie: After eyeing Nashville as its potential new headquarters for five years, Los Angeles-based management company The Familie will be making that move this year, installing former UMG/Nashville EVP/Promotion Royce Risser as its Head/Nashville & EVP/Country music, as reported this morning via Breaking News. Also joining the Nashville team as Artist Manager is Chase Berlin, a veteran of WME and The AMG. The first signing is singer-songwriter Evanthia Theodorou. 

Co-Founder/CEO Steve Astephen calls Risser "the missing link we’d been waiting for" and "the perfect person to not just open a Familie office in Nashville, but to truly make us a Nashville firm." Adds Risser, "This team will be a refreshing addition to the Nashville scene while also integrating with and honoring the history and pedigree of Music Row."
