I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide:
Cumulus has launched a 24/7 version of its Nash Icon format via Westwood One and the first stations to sign up are Bayshore's WRYD/Salisbury-Ocean City, MD and PMJ's WCKR/Elmira, NY. "Nash Icon is quickly emerging as a cornerstone of our Nash country music brand, and we're excited to make this radio format available to stations nationwide given the growing demand from advertisers and listeners," says Cumulus EVP/Content & Programming John Dickey. Adds Pres./Programming Kirk Stirland, "Nash Icon is a solid, mainstream addition to our lineup of 24-hour Country formats at Westwood One. It employs our top technology, it's got a great track record right out of the box in Nashville, and it's got hooks to a great brand."
Nash Icon will be offered as a Westwood One Local product allowing for localized content. Cumulus WSM-FM (Nash Icon)/Nashville morning host Marty McFly, afternoon personality Lisa Manning and evening personality Darlas Rai will handle mornings, middays, and evenings, respectively. Westwood One talent Scott Gaines will front afternoons. Contact WW1's Pat Crocker at (720) 873-5170 or here for affiliate info. More here.
