California Beamin':
Clear Channel KTGX/Tulsa and sister Top 40 KTBT PD JJ Ryan has been named PD/afternoon personality for the company's new KHLX (B92.5)/Sacramento (CAT 1/10). He's handling programming from Tulsa until the end of the month; he starts on the air Feb. 3. "Leaving Tulsa is bittersweet," says Ryan. "It's one of the best teams I've had the pleasure of working with, so leaving them was a tough one. I'm honored that Clay Hunnicutt, Brad Hardin, Ken Charles and the rest of the CCM+E family asked me to be the one who leads the new B92.5 to success, though." Ryan is also accepting airchecks and resumes to fill the new station's remaining dayparts here. Meanwhile, CC/Tulsa OM Don Cristi is searching for Ryan's replacement; materials here.
